THE BEAN LAB
BREWING GUIDE
From bag to glass in 12 hours. Here's everything you need to know to brew the perfect cold brew at home.
How To Brew Your Perfect Cup
Open Your Kit
Remove the brew bag from the packaging. Your kit comes pre-filled with the perfect amount of freshly ground coffee — no measuring needed.
Fill With Water
Fill the bag with spring or filtered water to the fill line. We recommend spring or filtered water for the best taste — avoid distilled (bland) or hard water (bitter).
Seal & Wait
Seal the bag and place it on your countertop at room temperature. Brew for 18 hours for our favorite result. Minimum 12 hours, maximum 24 hours.
Pour & Enjoy
Once brewing is complete, use the built-in spout to pour directly over ice. No filtering, no mess, no equipment — just smooth, rich cold brew ready to drink.
Store & Reuse
Refrigerate your cold brew and enjoy for up to 2 weeks. The bag can be reused up to 4 times — just rinse and repeat for your next batch.
Customize Your Cup
Drink it straight, over ice, with milk, or your favorite creamer. Cold brew is incredibly versatile — experiment and find your perfect pour.
Pro Tips From The Lab
Water Quality Matters
Spring or filtered water gives you the best flavor. Distilled water = bland. Hard water = bitter. The water you choose makes a real difference.
Sweet Spot: 18 Hours
We've tested hundreds of batches. 18 hours on the countertop is our sweet spot for the perfect balance of strength and smoothness.
Countertop vs Fridge
Both work! The fridge slows extraction so it takes longer. The countertop at room temperature is our preferred method for a richer brew.
Drip Prevention
Use the cap that came with your bag to prevent drips. You can also twist the spout upward when not in use to stop any leakage.
Reuse Up to 4 Times
Don't toss the bag after one brew! Rinse it out and you can get up to 4 brews from a single bag. The coffee grounds also make great fertilizer.
Caffeine Content
A 16oz serving contains approximately 200mg of caffeine. Adjust your serving size based on your preference and caffeine tolerance.
