Everything you need to know about Bean Lab Cold Brew.

Yes. However, our bags are not designed for unlimited use. As with anything that is used in excess, there will be some wear and tear. We do not recommend more than 4 uses.

Water quality can be a big component that determines how your brew will taste. Distilled water = bland/flavorless. Hard water = bitter. That is why we recommend spring or filtered water as your best option for optimal taste.

We recommend 18 hours. This has been our favorite brew time throughout this process. We don't recommend brewing for less than 12 hours (less brew time = less strength of coffee). However, if you enjoy a stronger taste feel free to brew up to 24 hours. We don't recommend brewing past 24 hours — and who wants to wait that long for their coffee, am I right?!

We recommend at room temperature (on your countertop) however, it will still brew if placed in the fridge. Making your own cold brew is a slow extraction process. The cooler temperature of the fridge causes the extraction process to conduct at a slower rate. Fridge or countertop — you decide. We just enjoy the countertop!

The packaging we use guarantees your coffee stays fresh. It is made of polyethylene, a non-recyclable packaging used by most coffee brands. Currently, it is the only economical and effective option we have discovered. We recommend reusing the bags creatively — what about for planting seedlings? You could even use the coffee grounds as fertilizer!

If you experience this issue, that handy little cap that came with your brew bag is the perfect drip prevention. You can also twist your spout so it's facing up while not in use. This should prevent any leakage that may be occurring.

Don't worry — it is currently in the works!

Our shelf life for cold brew kits and refill pods before opening is 6 months. We are consistently doing testing in the Lab to ensure our quality is premium. We recommend 6 months to ensure the "guaranteed freshness" of your coffee.

The caffeine content of cold brew can vary depending on many factors such as serving size, type of bean, grind size, water temperature, and brewing time. An average 16oz of cold brew contains around 200mg of caffeine.

Some refill bags might arrive having some air inside. Don't worry, you are still receiving fresh grounds! Air in refill bags can happen for two reasons: 1) Degassing — fresh coffee beans release CO2 after roasting. 2) Temperature change while in route to your location.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
